Marko is above all a great meeting between bikers

It was by chance that Marc, Pascal and Romain met not far from Embrun in the Alps. Romain had just finished a three-month tour of Europe on his old 1979 Honda CX500. On the way back to Lyon, it was impossible to restart the old Honda. Marc and Pascal, who were coming down from the Col de la Bonette (Marc in a BMW GS and Pascal in a BMW K 1200), were kind enough to give him a hand. Marc took Romain behind him to drop him off in town. After a few kilometres together (and a lunch that lasted over 3 hours), the three men kept in touch.

Marko's debut

Pascal has many years' experience in sales in Paris. Marc has already set up several companies, and the two men have been keen to create a helmet brand for several years. Romain had finished his studies and decided to join them in Paris. The three of them are now together in the capital. From outings with friends to serious discussions, their shared passion for motorbikes led them to create their first helmet together, the Boréal, in 2015. As a mark of respect for the day when Marc came to help Romain, he suggested that his first name be the brand name. Pascal jokingly suggested "Marko" to sound like the name of a great adventurer. The Marko adventure was born.

Our vision

What drives us every day is to offer everyone the chance to find a helmet that suits them, at a decent price. This means making helmets that are adapted to the way you use them, as well as being aesthetically pleasing. The three of us are passionate about adventure and long, winding roads. The world of motorcycling is full of many different styles of riding, but one of the key elements of all these different styles is the idea of going beyond oneself, beyond boundaries, beyond codes, of adventure. Our helmets are designed with this adventurous spirit in mind, so that you can take them with you to the other side of the world.

What's more, safety is at the heart of our concerns in the manufacture of our products. In 2021, given the growth in the soft mobility market and demand, we wanted to bring our expertise to cyclists by designing helmets for bikes, scooters and skateboards that are robust and resistant to high-speed impacts, particularly with the trend towards electric bikes and speed bikes.
