Size
How do I choose the right size for my Marko Helmets helmet ?
To determine your helmet size, use a tape measure (or a piece of string that you can measure afterwards). Measure your head circumference by placing the tape measure about 2.5 cm above your eyebrows. Then compare this measurement with our sizing guide, available in the size guide.
I'm hesitating between two sizes. Which should I choose?
If you're on the borderline between two sizes, we generally advise you to take the next size down, as the helmet foam will settle over time and adapt to the shape of your face. You can also contact us for personalised advice on 01 48 07 51 64.
How do I know if my helmet is the right size for me ?
To check that your helmet fits properly:
1. Measure your head circumference with a tape measure, placing it about 2 cm above your eyebrows. Compare this measurement with our brand's size guide.
2. Try the helmet on : it should fit snugly without exerting painful pressure, particularly on the forehead and/or the back of the head.
3. Perform the movement test : Move your head from left to right and up and down. The helmet should not move freely. Try to remove it by lifting it from the back: if it comes off easily, it's too big.
4. Check for pressure points : Wear the helmet for a few minutes to see if it causes pain (a sign that it is too tight).
5. Make sure the chinstrap fits properly : it should be snug without impeding breathing or causing discomfort.
A properly fitted helmet guarantees comfort and safety in the event of an impact.

Care and use of the helmet
My helmet has suffered an impact. Do I need to replace it ?
Yes, even if no damage is visible to the naked eye, the internal structure of the helmet may have been altered, reducing its ability to absorb future impacts. For your safety, we recommend that you replace any helmet that has suffered a significant impact.
How do I clean my helmet ?
We recommend using a soft cloth and soapy water to clean the outer shell. For the interior, most of our helmets have removable and washable foams. Simply leave them to air dry after rinsing in warm soapy water. See our tutorial for our motorbike helmets and for bicycle helmets.
How do I maintain the visor ?
Clean the visor with a soft cloth and clean water, or use a special visor cleaner. Avoid aggressive cleaners that could damage the anti-scratch coating.
How do I store my helmet correctly to prevent damage ?
To prolong the life of your headphones and prevent damage, follow these tips:
1. Store it in a dry place away from light : Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or humidity, which can alter the materials and foam inside.
2. Use a protective cover : When not in use, place it in a cover to prevent dust and scratches.
3. Avoid placing it on hard or unstable surfaces : always place it on a flat surface or use a special stand to prevent it from falling.
4. Do not store your helmet near chemicals or solvents : These substances can damage the shell and visor.
5. Do not leave your helmet in your car or in a hot place : High temperatures can deteriorate the internal foams and affect the helmet's resistance.
6. Air it out after use : Leave it to air dry after each ride to avoid the build-up of moisture and unpleasant odours.
Proper storage will keep your helmet safe, comfortable and attractive for longer !

How can I prevent the visor from fogging up ?
Fogging up the visor can reduce visibility and compromise safety. Here are some effective solutions:
1. Use a Pinlock anti-fog screen: Many of our motorbike helmets are compatible with Pinlock film, which creates a thermal barrier to prevent condensation. Find out more on our product sheets.
2. Apply an anti-fog treatment: Specific sprays or wipes are available to limit fogging of the visor. We recommend this for our bicycle helmet visors.
3. Ventilate your helmet properly: Open the visor of your motorbike helmet slightly or use the helmet vents to improve air circulation.
4. Avoid breathing directly on the visor: In winter, a muffler or bib can help direct exhaled air downwards.
5. Clean the visor regularly: A clean visor reduces fogging, so wash it with a soft cloth and a suitable product. See our tutorial here
By combining these tips, you'll be able to maintain optimum visibility whatever the weather.

Can I wear a motorbike helmet when cycling and vice versa ?
No, we do not recommend that you interchange a motorbike helmet and a bicycle helmet, as they are designed for different uses.
The first case: using a motorbike helmet for cycling - we advise against this. Although it is not forbidden, a motorbike helmet is much heavier than a cycle helmet, which can cause discomfort and excessive neck strain.
Second case: using a cycle helmet for motorcycling is prohibited. A cycle helmet does not meet the safety standards for motorbike helmets (ECE, DOT, etc.) and offers no protection in the event of a high-speed accident. It does not fully cover the head and is not resistant to violent impacts and abrasions in the event of a motorbike crash.
Each helmet is specifically designed for its purpose. Always use an approved helmet suitable for your activity, whether motorcycling or cycling. At Marko Helmets, all our helmets are approved.

Are Marko headphones compatible with audio systems or intercoms ?
Yes, most Marko Helmets are compatible with Bluetooth audio systems and intercoms, but this depends on the model. Some models are pre-cut to accommodate speakers and a microphone without compromising comfort. If the helmet does not have specific slots, it is still possible to install an intercom, but this may be less comfortable. Check the headset specification sheet on our site to see if it is designed for an intercom.
Can I paint or stick stickers on my helmet without affecting its safety ?
Painting or sticking stickers on a helmet can potentially alter its safety, depending on the materials and products used. Here's what you need to know before changing the appearance of your helmet. Some specific paints, such as water-based or acrylic paints, can be used without damaging the shell. Paints containing solvents (e.g. spray paints, aggressive varnishes) can weaken the structure of the helmet and alter its impact resistance. There are stickers specially designed for helmets, which do not use aggressive adhesives, in particular Marko stickers, which you can find on our website. right here. We advise you to avoid covering the helmet approval markings.
Integrated lighting and battery
My helmet with integrated lighting won't charge. What can I do ?
Check that the USB cable and the power source (computer, mains adapter) are working properly. Make sure there is no dust in the charging port. Note that some USB-C cables that are too wide at the charging connector cannot be inserted correctly, so change the cable. If the problem persists, contact us with your order number to arrange after-sales service.
How long does the integrated lighting battery last ?
It depends on the helmet model and the lighting mode used (steady, flashing). On average, the battery can last from 4 to 10 hours.
Payments
What methods of payment are accepted ?
Here are all the payment methods accepted on our Marko Helmets website: Bank card (via payplug), paypal, Alma (payment in 3x)
